I am an exceptionally passionate Biochemistry student currently in my third year of study at the University of Glasgow. I have several qualifications under my belt, including biology & chemistry courses extending beyond advanced higher levels. I have a deep love for scientific work and writing- the latter of which I work on openly in my free time through my own personalised blog and by writing for the Glasgow University Union Magazine (the G-You). I delight in gaining new skills both within and unrelated to my field of study- and I wish to share the joy and passion I hold with as many people as possible, in the hopes of inspiring the next generation of scientists to be just as passionate as me. I have experience tutoring classmates and colleagues on an informal basis, on topics key to my degree- including Biology, Chemistry. Additionally, my personal blog also has a section which caters to those that may be more unfamiliar with scientific language, with the aim of educating through a more fantastical medium.

I have experience tutoring classmates and colleagues on an informal basis, on topics key to my degree- including Biology, Chemistry. Additionally, my personal blog also has a section which caters to those that may be more unfamiliar with scientific language, with the aim of educating through a more fantastical medium. I have found that keeping discussions open and engaging leads to a far more enhanced learning environment- especially when relating the topic at hand to a real-life or even fantastical example. I like to ensure that whoever I am teaching has a thorough understanding of the lesson, both in mechanisms of action and nomenclature (as I am aware of how confusing scientific terms can get). I am willing to change my explanations and approaches on the fly to ensure the student gets the best possible learning experience.
