About Tutor

Hello! I’m Titas Chatterjee, an experienced Hindustani vocal music tutor with a strong academic and professional background in both music and education. I hold a double M.A. in English and Music from Rabindra Bharati University, providing me with a deep understanding of music theory, practice, and pedagogy. My musical journey includes significant achievements such as being a participant in Zee Bangla Sa Re Ga Ma Pa (2012) and receiving the National Scholarship in Hindustani vocal classical music in 2013. I also earned the prestigious Sangeet Visharad diploma, having passed the examination conducted by the Pracheen Kala Kendra, Chandigarh, in 2019-2020. In addition to my qualifications, I have taught as an Assistant Teacher (Sub-Music) at Delhi Public Secondary School, Barasat, from 2019 to 2023. During my time there, I nurtured students’ musical abilities while developing my skills as a teacher. My experience as an educator has further refined my approach to teaching Hindustani classical music, helping students progress both technically and artistically. Currently, I am pursuing my B.Ed. (Bachelor of Education) from Baba Saheb Ambedkar Education University, further enhancing my teaching methodologies and understanding of child development. As a tutor, I offer personalized lessons that cater to each student’s unique learning style, helping them master Hindustani vocal music through a blend of classical techniques and practical applications.
