January 2014 – 2016 High Level Teaching Assistant at Sacred Heart Primary School • General curriculum teaching, primarily in Keystage 2 under the supervision of the classroom teacher, in addition to administration and classroom/lesson preparation/marking. • I also ran Speech and Language Therapy sessions and Art Therapy sessions for a range of children across the entire school base as required by their Educational Health Care Plans. • I conducted interventions and booster groups for those children not meeting targets and also for those on the Gifted and Talented List. September 2016 – 2018 High Level Teaching Assistant at Brookwood Primary School • General curriculum teaching across Keystage 1 and 2 following the planning of the classroom teacher, in addition to administration and classroom/lesson preparation/marking. • I also carried out my own interventions, preparing students for government testing and as a 1:1 tutor for specific children with behavioural needs. September 2018 – 2019 SCITT student at Surrey South Farnham and Brookwood Primary School • I gained a place on as a salaried student on a reputable teacher training course whereby I worked alongside the deputy head teacher, training in a Year 5/6 class of 40 pupils. • I planned, taught and assessed classes independently in a mixed year, varied ability class with a wide range of needs. • In addition to this I achieved the top grading of a 1st, specialising in cognitive development and educational theory. September 2019 – Current Class Teacher Brookwood Primary School • I am currently the Year 5 teacher, responsible for the progress of 31 pupils. • I am the sole provider of educational and pastoral care for all children, differentiating for their needs and closely monitoring individual performance.
