AQA Examiner, English Teacher, Author. I have worked in the education sector for 20 years. I began as an English Specialist TA and became an English Teacher afterwards. In this role I have developed schemes of work for both KS3 and KS4 for both remote and in class working. I have achieved a huge amount of success for pupils with the schemes of work. I have been an AQA examiner since 2017 - I mark GCSE English Language Paper One. Due to this role, my pupils have achieved outstanding success in their GCSE exams. My classes often over achieved and had exceptional results. I believe this is due, in part, to my role as an English examiner. However, I also like to have a good rapport with all pupils so that they can trust me which also helps secure exceptional results.

I would relish the chance to share not only my expertise and passions, but also the systematic steps I myself used to exploit the most out of mark schemes and how get the best out of yourself. It is these same steps I have since shared with many other students so that they too could achieve their dream grades.

I am highly motivated and conscientious with strong organisational and writing skills, prioritising research and attention to deal. As such, I adapt my lesson to each individual student, identifying and prioritising their needs to construct a thorough learning plan. My default teaching method will focus on demonstrations and the PPP structure, finding it to be the most efficient way to practice new concepts and vocabulary, but will tailor the lessons to discussion and content focus when needed.
