Inspiring minds, igniting confidence — one story, one student at a time. I’m Maryam Shafaq, a qualified Secondary English Teacher (QTS) with a First-Class BA in English. Trained through the Teach First programme, I’m passionate about helping students develop strong literacy, analytical, and writing skills. My lessons are inclusive, engaging, and confidence-building, designed to help every learner find their voice and achieve their best.

I’m an experienced Secondary English Teacher with a strong background in delivering the national curriculum and supporting students of all abilities. I’ve taught across Key Stages 3 and 4, designing engaging and differentiated lessons that develop reading, writing, and critical thinking skills. My experience includes working with diverse learners, including those with SEND and EAL, and using technology such as Google Classroom and Microsoft Teams to enhance learning. I’ve also contributed to curriculum planning, assessment, and pastoral care, always aiming to create an inclusive, motivating environment where every student can thrive.
