Primary School Tuition

For children who haven't attended pre-school, primary school represents the first rung on the education ladder. This is a golden time in a child's education. Young children are often brimming with curiosity and natural learners, but if confidence is knocked it can be challenging to get your child to look forward to and enjoy school or homework. We understand the importance of adapting to the needs and personality of each child, all the while working to achieve tangible results.

After completing a thorough assessment, we devise an education plan in agreement with parents, and if appropriate, in collaboration with a child's school teacher. Our approach to tutoring is holistic and age-appropriate, and so in devising a rounded programme for younger children we include educational play, support and development.

If your child has a specific learning difficulty, such as dyslexia or dyspraxia, or has special educational needs (SEN), then we will match them with a tutor who  specialises in these areas to create a nurturing and supportive environment in which they can progress.

Tutors Valley primary tutors have years of teaching experience in Key Stages 1 and 2 in core subjects; English, mathematics and science. Our experienced English teachers can offer tailored reading and language programmes that include phonics, vocabulary, spelling, and comprehension, while our mathematics tutors can help develop pupils' numeracy skills and bridge gaps in knowledge.

One of the many advantages of home tutoring is that children benefit enormously from having their own one-to-one tutor. At primary level, school teachers often teach large classes and so problems with comprehension can be missed. With one-to-one online private tuition, students learn at their own pace, from the comfort of their home, without the distraction of a busy classroom.
